2. Apply for the My Number Card(マイナンバーカード申請)
You can apply:
Online, By mail, by Town ID photo booth
3. Receive the Notice of Issuance(交付通知書)
About 1 month later, you’ll receive a postcard telling you your card is ready.
4. Visit the ward office to pick up your card
Bring:
The Notice of Issuance(交付通知書)
Your residence card(在留カード)
At the counter, you’ll set your PIN codes(暗証番号), and you’ll receive the card the same day.
